Yesterday was my last day at my (old) job. Tomorrow, I start my new one. I’d been there for 4 1/2 years, so it was kind of sad. I’ll miss my boss, and some of the patients. One of the patients had flowers delivered for me. She is so sweet! It was such a surprise. I will miss those people who have been a part of my life for so long, but sometimes…you just have to move on. I’m looking forward to starting the new job, although I am a bit nervous. Change is scary, even when you want it. Also, I have to drive to downtown Dallas for orientation, blech.
I read a couple of good books this weekend that I got free at some point. Free e-books are hit or miss, but these two were definite wins. If you’re interested, check out my post on my writing blog here.
I just had the most random collection of foods for lunch: fresh (and local) tomatoes and Israel melon (like cantaloupe, but sweeter), a fresh fig, a bit of pasta salad, a few bites of roasted chicken, two small pieces of artisan bread toasted with Laughing Cow lite cheese…Okay, that sounds like a ton of food, but I swear it wasn’t that much. Possibly I do need a nap now….
Okay. I have to get the rest of my stuff together for work tomorrow. And find something suitable to wear, sigh…Also, school starts on Monday, so I have some reading assignments to work on.
