week in review: I can’t even

Week-In-Review-Button-Final

This has been one of those weeks where I feel like I’ve been running around in circles all week. I’m linking up with Meghan over at Clean Eats, Fast Feets for the sense of accomplishment it gives me.

I did a lot of homework this week. A lot. The good news is, next week is finals, which means the week after is Spring Break!

Worked 40 hours in 3 days on the day job. (Which I do love. Really.)

Got a tiny bit of actual fiction writing done.

I have my personal “professional” website almost completed. Okay, that sounds bad. For my Social Media class, we have to create our professional website for our final project, and I’m almost done with mine.

Received some pretty great feedback on an essay I wrote for my capstone English class:  “This is exceptionally well done. I enjoyed reading it. I wish I could use this on day one when I teach composition classes. I think your reflections on the relationship between the writer and her readers show real wisdom about the purpose and significance of writing. Nicely done.”  When I get discouraged about the chaos that is my life, I’m going to try to remember this…TRY.

Successfully ignored both phone calls and texts from a certain someone while attempting to make a decision. Why is it so hard to get some people to understand things?

Went out for dinner and drinks with my work crew and the greatest boss ever. Cajun food and Bloody Marys for the win!

Did some reading. Didn’t finish anything, but I will next week.
