week in review: I have no idea what’s going on

Linking up with Meghan over at Clean Eats, Fast Feets for her Week in Review party.

Week-In-Review-Button-Final

I really need to start taking some pictures…

Recently, I have:

  1. Joined a gym. Thank you, Baby Brother, for convincing me. I’ve even been three times in the week since I joined, so there’s that. Incidentally, I feel that elliptical machines have become harder. A few years ago, I could do an hour on one, no problem. Today, I was inordinately proud that I made it 10 minutes. Sigh…
  2. Done Kairos 2 at my church. Wow. It was incredible, and I needed it.
  3. Read a few books. Still getting the reviews up over at my writing blog.
  4. Somehow lost 5 pounds or so. Not sure how, but it was probably stress, not the three measly workouts I’ve done in the last week.
  5. Found out that my totally awesome boss, he who gave us all flowers for Mother’s Day, and who we are willing to work ourselves ragged for, is leaving in two months. We had no warning about this, and, while we’re happy that he has this opportunity, none of us are happy he’s leaving. 😦 Not sure what else to say about this right now…

Seriously. It’s hard to be happy when a boss who gives everyone flowers like this says he’s leaving…

  1. Way to go on the gym membership and the three workouts. Ten minutes is better than nothing. My workout last week was cutting the grass. It totally counts. 😉

Sorry to hear about your boss. It’s always really tough to lose the good ones.

  2. I agree, cutting the grass totally counts. As does taking care of a baby, so you’re in good shape. Apparently, the boss was “volun-told” for his new position: if he wants to move up in the company, he has no choice.
