Linking up with Meghan over on Clean Eats, Fast Feets, so I can feel like I accomplished something last week.
Warning: it’s not much.
The week before last, I worked 45+ hours in my 3-day-work-week, so I’m still kind of recovering from that. Including Memorial Day (at least that 13 hours was all OT pay. Blech.)
Last week, I only worked Monday and Wednesday, because my mom flew in from NOLA Wednesday night. So, there’s been a lot of chilling, talking, and eating for the past 5 days. She goes home this afternoon 😦
But while she was here, we checked out a friend’s tiny house: it used to be a one-room-schoolhouse. It even still has the bell up top!
I saw my neurologist: no return visit for another year! (As long as everything goes well.)
Had new tires put on my car, Lucy. I know she’s probably more relieved than I am…
Went to church on Saturday to listen to Pastor Robert finish up his series.
Checked out a local winery with Mom and Baby Brother for some local peach sangria.
Actually watched some news yesterday–which I normally avoid like the plague–horrified by the tragedy in Orlando. Why, people, why? If you don’t agree with someone’s beliefs/lifestyle/actions, why do you think you have the right to murder them? No.
My prayers are with all of those affected by this.
I was happy to see your title. I feel like if anyone deserves a mini vacation, it’s you because you work so hard. Hooray for holiday pay. That does help a little bit.
I’m glad you had a nice visit with your mom. It’s always nice to have family in town.
Thanks! It’s been a rough couple of weeks. I’ll be heading to NOLA to visit her in about 3 weeks, so there’s that to look forward to.
