week in review: busy every day

Week-In-Review-Button-Final

Linking up with Meghan over at Clean Eats, Fast Feets to get to listing.

What did I accomplish this past week? Well…

I worked 5 days/approximately 45 hours at the day job. (Since my awesome boss was leaving, he wanted everything shipshape before he left. Done and done. Sigh…)

Went for lab work, a pulmonary function test, and a doctor’s visit/procedure. Side note:  if, after the procedure is over, your doctor says “You are TOUGH, because that wasn’t easy,” you’re probably not going to feel that great the rest of the day. Just sayin’.

Bought groceries and cleaned the apartment. Fun times.

Had dinner and a nice long chat with The Saint. It’s been far too long since we hung out, friend.

Read all of this book:

running like a girl
(I do not own this image. Image belongs to Scribner.)

And most of this book:

confessions of a fat marathoner
(I do not own this image. Image belongs to Kristina C. Burkey.)

I also purchased this one:

daring greatly
(I do not own this image. Image belongs to Avery.)

As you can see from my reading material–which were all purchased over the weekend–I have some things I’m thinking about lately. The two running books…I found quite inspiring. I’m definitely going to put those new sneakers to use in the very near future. Both books made me laugh, and also yearn to get out there and reach a nearly-lifelong-dream:  to be a runner.

Planning is in progress. Because lists and/or planning are my not-guilty pleasure.

(Edited to add:  apparently, the WordPress app on my phone lied to me yesterday when it said this post published. Bah!)
