week in review: stuff and things

Week-In-Review-Button-Final

Linking up with Meghan over at Clean Eats, Fast Feets. (I’ve been seeing some of her food pics on FB. They make me hungry!)

What did I do this week? Um…

Worked 40 hours at the day job.

Got in 3 cardio workouts plus one strength training session (playing hooky today in favor of mentally recuperating from some things while watching last night’s Olympic broadcast.).

morning sunlight

Hit the one-month mark with eating healthy and working out. Total pounds lost:  10.5 pounds.

the road less traveled

Got some writing done, as well as some revisions.

Had dinner with The Diva and another friend Friday night, then dinner with The Saint on Saturday after church and a message from one of my favorite pastors, Tim Ross.

Also enjoyed a s’mores frap from the church coffee shop (the August special), which are much better than Starbucks’ s’mores frap.

Saw Suicide Squad on Saturday morning. Enjoyed it, but…I haven’t seen the last two (or maybe three) Batman movies, so the world had me asking some questions. And Harley Quinn had me feeling really sane. No joke. Actually, the last Batman movie I saw was the one with Heath Ledger as the Joker, so I was a little ambivalent about knowing the Joker was in this movie (because I loved Heath Ledger, and his Joker was something else). However, the Joker in Suicide Squad was surprisingly charming…for a sociopath.

And I think that’s all I’ve got for last week. I’m off to go try my hand at a cauliflower pizza crust.

  1. Congrats on the weight loss. That is awesome. You are still kicking ass and taking names. I post even more food pics on SnapChat; also all sorts of baby shenanigans if you’re into that sort of thing.

I think the last Batman movie I saw was with Heath Ledger too, and damn he was amazing in that role.

Happy Monday and thanks for linking up.
