mountains out of molehills

Before I forget:  does anyone know a good half-marathon training app to use? I’m going to need one pretty soon, so thanks in advance.

I got up pretty early today to hit the gym before having labs drawn at 8 a.m. (because I knew I’d be starving when I finished that, and I didn’t want to wait for breakfast).

I started the Couch to 10k training plan (starting at week 9, since I just finished the 5k plan).

Planned Interval                                                             Actual

walk for 5 minutes                                                          walked for 5 minutes

run 10 min. @ 4.6 mph/1% incline                             ran 10 min. @ 4.6 mph/1% incline

walk 1 min.                                                                         walked for 1 min.

run 10 min. @ 4.6 mph/1% incline                              ran 10 min. @ 4.6 mph/1% incline

walk 1 min.                                                                         walked 1 min.

run 10 min. @ 4.6 mph/1% incline                              ran 7 minutes at 4.6 mph/.5% incline

walk 1 min.                                                                          walked 3 min.

run 10 min. @ 4.6 mph/1% incline                               ran 10 minutes at 4.6 mph/.5% interval

walk 1 min.                                                                           walked 1 min.

walk for 5 min.                                                                     walked 5 minutes

10-11-16

I’m a bit disappointed that I didn’t manage that 3rd interval as planned, but I’m still really happy with this workout. My legs are still a little sore from the climbing in the 5k this weekend, so this was definitely a tough workout.

Onward and upward!
