week in review: from kleenex to meatballs

As Meghan at Clean Eats, Fast Feets says, let’s get to listing!

Week-In-Review-Button-Final

Last week, I:

-almost had a panic attack when I realized grad school starts this week (as in TODAY), not next week.

Ugh.

-Did some outlining on two different story ideas, as well as brainstorming on the revision of a third.

-Finished three books:  The Fifth Petal (Not out yet, read to review.), A Mad Zombie Party (I love this series, but this book made me a little bit sad. Kat!), and The Road to Enchantment (Not out yet, read to review.).

-Wrote and posted two book reviews: Two Days Gone and The Hundred Lies of Lizzie Lovett. Also talked about my December reading, and things all writers understand.

-Saw two doctors on Thursday:  x-rays and ultrasound of my leg are clear, so it’s probably a muscle injury, but I’m not allowed to run for at least 6 more weeks, and I have to start PT this week. At least I got permission to walk the half-marathon I’m already signed up for next month, grrr.

-Got sick, so I missed work on Friday, and instead survived on this:

-Soup, hummus, and cheese. I’m not quite sure where my crackers were in that picture…but considering that Friday the temps dropped into the teens—it does NOT get that cold in North Central Texas, but that’s the second time in the last month—this was also a weather-appropriate meal. (Not pictured, my Frozen-themed tissue box—which I bought without realizing—and the cold meds keeping me going.)

-I was craving pancakes on Saturday, so I made these three, er, 4, ingredient pancakes.

p1

-Also found these goodies at the store. I can’t wait to try them!

-Now, I’m off to make meatballs for the first time, to enjoy with zoodles and spaghetti sauce for the week!
