Linking up with Meghan over at Clean Eats, Fast Feets for the listing shenanigans.
This week, I:
Finished reading a book in less than 24 hours: It Started with Goodbye, by Christina June. I love YA, and this one was great, with far less angst and whining than could have happened, and a lot more personal growth and maturity reached. Review on the writing blog.
Okay, make that two books I finished in less than 24 hours this week: Turbo Twenty Three by Janet Evanovich. I love the Stephanie Plum books, but this one was not quite as funny as they usually are. I ended up questioning some of Stephanie’s choices, and hungry for junk food—but that’s normal after reading one of these. Lula and her Cluck in a Bucket cravings…smh.
I also read Beneath the Wake, by Ross Pennie. Despite the cover blurb by Tess Gerritsen, this book bored me. I won’t be reviewing it, because I don’t like panning books, but this was not my cup of tea.
Finished up my News Writing and Reporting class. As part of the final paper, we were supposed to contact a journalist working in the field we wanted to work in, and ask them four questions. The first one I talked to said she’d answer the questions, then never did. So did the second. So, yesterday—the due date—I found an interview clip online that answered the questions, more or less, wrote my explanation into the paper, and turned it in. He gave me partial credit for it, and I made an 80 on the paper, so I’ll take it. Sigh…
Worked just less than 45 hours on the day job.
Started prepping for my new class, Leadership Theory in Communication.
Yesterday, I did this:
Lebanese food at Prince’s Grill! It’s been almost 5 years since I ate here. The food is SO GOOD. Dolmas, falafel, hummus mah lahme, and shawarma. I went with The Saint, and she took these awesome pics. Check out her Instagram for more foodie shots.
I’m off to drown my school woes in pizza. #emotionaleating
And now I want all the Lebanese food. It looks so good. I’m envious of your reading. I just started a new book last night: Beartown: A Novel and am already hooked. Here’s to hoping it’s good.
Beartown is FANTASTIC! I just read it a couple of weeks ago, and reviewed it for my writing blog. I hope you like it.
