Linking up with Meghan over at Clean Eats, Fast Feets for the feeling of accomplishment it gives me.
Let’s see, I finished the draft of my final paper for my Leadership Theory in Communication class. All of the draft. All 1,500 words. In less than a day. Like, I finished it about 15 minutes ago. I’m tired….
Read two books, and part of another one. Patchwork by Karsten Knight was pretty awesome, and Silence Fallen by Patricia Briggs was as fantastic as the rest of the Mercy Thompson series (I’ve been saving it as a reward/treat read). Also read a quarter of another book, Part of the Silence, a mystery set in Cornwall that’s given me a bit of the creeps so far, but I’m enjoying it. I also reviewed Love, Alabama, by Susan Sands.
Did the usual cramming of 40 hours into a three-day work week. Sigh…
Last Sunday, The Saint and I saw Baywatch, which was way funnier than I expected it to be. Also made me wish I was at the beach. We tried out some new eats at Pei Wei, a perennial favorite.
Of course, we also hit up Andy’s for some frozen custard. (Our four-week-streak was broken this weekend, as we didn’t hang out at all, much less get Andy’s. 😦 At least, I didn’t. She might’ve.)
Then Night of Worship at church, which was as amazing as always.
Mid-week, we threw a surprise baby shower at work for the still-really-pregnant coworker, who’s having a boy, and the one who just got back from maternity leave after having her daughter.
The new big boss was at the clinic that day, and she was super excited to help decorate. We had fun. Yes, those cupcakes are exactly as good as they look.
I got in four short cardio sessions, as I try to deal with the depression flare-up/lack of motivation I’ve been experiencing lately. I may have gotten up at 2:30 a.m. before work one day for one of those.
Did a little writing work with some bits from Holly Lisle’s Writing Voice workshop, and started her Writing Discipline workshop. There also may have been some in-depth discussion with The Saint regarding my need to step up my social media game….grrr. I know I need to, I’m just so busy.
I’m working on it.
I’ve been wanting to go see Baywatch! Dinner, a movie, and custard sounds like the perfect night out.
It was actually pretty funny. And the custard was great, as always. Thanks for reading.
I get lack of motivation flare ups too. I usually try to embrace them and just rest and read (in between chasing the kid of course). I’m impressed you got some much exercise in despite the issues. Go You. Also yay for reading and cupcakes. 🙂
I’m ALL for resting and reading. And cupcakes. Thanks for reading.
