Last Monday and Tuesday were normal work/homework/life days. I worked Wednesday, but that night my parents, middle brother, and nephew flew in to spend a week. So, on Thursday, we took family pictures.
My nephew seems to be unable to both open his eyes and smile at the same time…
He also likes to goof off, of course, since he’s only four.
My grandmother’s 90th birthday was Saturday, so we headed on a 2-hour road trip to where I was born. First up, a stop at a local restaurant/legend.
Then off to the (cake) party. My grandmother hasn’t seen most of us since my uncle’s funeral in February, and she was very surprised and happy. Unfortunately, she smashed her finger just prior to the party, and when we couldn’t get the bleeding stopped, she had to go to the E.R. It’s fractured in two places, plus the nail is basically ripped off. She’s having horrible pain today, and will be seeing a bone doctor this afternoon.
So, she missed her birthday party, but we took pictures of everyone before heading to the E.R., too.
Yesterday, we headed to Baby Brother’s house, where he performed his specialty:

That’s fantastic you’re getting to spend time with your family and nephew. He’s a cutie pie. although sorry to hear Grandma missed her own party. I hope her finger heals quickly and the bone doctor can set her to rights.

Lol…My brother is an AMAZING cook! His cheesecakes are fantastic, too. Thanks for the well-wishes. My grandma isn’t doing too well today. A lot of pain and blood pressure issues this afternoon.
