Linking up with Meghan at Clean Eats, Fast Feets for the Week in Review.
This week, I:
-finished that 25-page report, cleaned it up, made it pretty, and turned it in. So glad to be done with that! Interestingly, today (Sunday) I got the chance to meet (and get a pic with) my church’s lead pastor and his wife, who’s a minister of the women’s group, and that report was a social media evaluation of the church women’s ministry.
-also finished (eh, started and finished) two other assignments this week. What I have left for the semester: one assignment, the final report on my AdWords project, and discussion board responses to 4 assignments. I’m planning on having everything complete except the responses—which require me to wait until other people finish their assignments—by the time I leave town on Friday.
-discovered Snickerdoodle Hot Chocolate at Starbucks. How have I never had white hot chocolate before?
-worked somewhere around 40 hours, which is mostly an exasperated blur, thanks to that one annoying, cold-hearted staff member…who is now someone else’s problem. (I give myself bonus points for not having a screaming fit early Wednesday morning. Instead, I fled to my other clinic. For her safety.)
-read two books, Autonomous, by Andy Marino, which I do not recommend and I will not be reviewing, and Little Broken Things, by Nicole Baart, which I do and will be.
-reviewed Beasts of Extraordinary Circumstance, by Ruth Emmi Lang, Rosemarked, by Livia Blackburne, and The Dark Intercept, by Julia Keller. I enjoyed all three of these, but Rosemarked was phenomenal!
-had a lovely Sunday brunch with The Saint at Chef Blythe’s. Southern biscuits and gravy for the win! (That’s jalapeño gravy on there. Plus cheese and pico de gallo. Yum.)
-saw this wine at the store, and bought it strictly for the label. I love sugar skulls. (Haven’t even opened it yet.)
-current mood:
I love brunch. It might just be my favorite meal, especially if you pair it with a boozy breakfast cocktail.
Go you for getting crap done. You kinda killed it on the assignment front.
Safe travels this week.
Brunch was so good! I branched out and tried something different. And thanks! I want less stress before I head out to Tulsa on Friday.
