week in review: gratitude

Linking up with Meghan at Clean Eats, Fast Feets for the Week in Review.

Week-In-Review-Button-Final

To change things up this week—and because last week was more than a bit challenging—I’m going to go with Meghan’s theme this week of gratitude.

I’m grateful for: all my friends, family, and loved ones.

(Baby Brother and I went to Waco on Thursday, to spend time at my cousin’s house, with my grandma and my aunt. We made sure to stop at The Czech Bakery on the way home…where I discovered they now have kolaches with nutella. I am thankful this place is not closer to home!)

I’m grateful for a job that I love, with a fantastic team that makes me look forward to work every day. (If I’m going to work 14-hour-days, at least it’s with people I like.)

I’m grateful that my first year of grad school is about over, and it went well.

I’m grateful that last week I got to spend quality time with my best friend (friends since age 7) in Tulsa, hanging out, eating, and doing fun stuff. Like the aquarium:

And trying new food:

I am especially grateful for my health, and my body, which keeps going even when I don’t treat it right. (Working on that now.)

  1. I’m so glad you hopped on the grateful train today, and I understand why kolaches with nutella made the list, especially since they get to be a rare treat.

Hooray for food, family and friends, not necessarily in that order, although don’t tell anyone. It’ll ruin my food blogger rep. Snort. 😉
