I’m linking up with Meghan at Clean Eats, Fast Feets for the Week in Review.
Last week, I…
-spent a lot of time in prayer and or worried for a long-time friend/patient who had open heart surgery on Thursday. He was off the vent and responsive on Friday, but Saturday they put him back on the vent. On Sunday, his pulmonologist told the family he didn’t expect him to make it. 😦 This is someone I’ve known—and tried to get to take care of himself—for almost four years.
-besides that, work has been pretty much a crapshoot, with a lot of unnecessary drama. Oh, and we lost a patient unexpectedly this week. I love my job, but sometimes it’s hard.
-read three books, Dead Man’s Chest, All the Wrong Chords, and A Murder for the Books to review, read about 15% of Fade Out before putting that down because of the distant POV, and reviewed The Girl in the Tower by Katherine Arden, which was absolutely amazing. I was also part of the Rules of Rain spotlight tour, and wrote a post about the 20 books I read in November.
-finally got my act together workout-wise, and did the first week of the C25K. These were my views for my walk on Saturday:
-and went to my work Christmas party:
I’m so sorry. That is a lot of worry to hold for someone you love, not to mention with a job that holds similar emotional weight. I truly hope all ends up okay. ❤
Thank you. I really appreciate the well-wishes. Sadly, it did not work out, and he passed yesterday.
I’m so sorry to hear about your friend and patient. It’s so hard to watch situations like that unfold. It looks like you had a nice time at your Christmas party though. I’m glad about that.
Thank you.
