Linking up with Meghan at Clean Eats, Fast Feets for the Week in Review.
It’s been a couple of weeks since I posted anything. Life has been too hectic, and I just couldn’t find the time.
My Mediated Terrorism class was eating my life and causing large amounts of undue stress. So I dropped it. Because I don’t need that much stress in my life. I learned some interesting things, but I was one of two M.A. students in a class of Ph.D candidates, and I’m just not up to that level at this point in my life. Also…it was an elective class, and I was dropping the ball on my other class, which is required.
Other than that, last week, I:
-worked around 45 hours at the day job, including one all-day meeting in downtown Dallas. Blech.
-edited my first broadcast news piece. (If anyone has tips on using Premiere Pro, I’m all ears.)
-read The Darkest Calling, The Rending and the Nest, and The Belles. Loved all of these! Reviewed The Rending and the Nest (and The Book of Pearl and You Will Be Mine).
-got in a few workouts. I have The Cowtown Half Marathon next Sunday, as well as a 5k next Saturday, so THAT should be fun.
-had a fantastic burger with the Saint before we watched The Black Panther. Wow is all I can say about that movie.
That’s about it for me.
Good for you for knowing when to step back when you need a break!! And for getting your workouts and everything in during a busy time!
Thanks! I’ve been struggling, but I feel much better now.
Sounds like you made the absolute right choice about dropping your class. If it ain’t serving you, you don’t need it.
All it was doing was stressing me out, so I feel MUCH better mentally now.
I can’t wait to see Black Panther. I’m excited.
Way to make a tough, but necessary decision on dropping a class. You have to do what works for you.
The Black Panther was fantastic!
