week in review: 18 miles

Linking up with Meghan at Clean Eats, Fast Feets for the Week in Review.

Week-In-Review-Button-Final

This week, I:

-worked 45 hours at the job, including 6 hours (a.k.a. half a day) on Tuesday for the monthly meeting at my clinic and helping out at another clinic.

Um, I feel like that’s all I did this week…

I mean, I did the usual round of cleaning my apartment, caring for the cats, Darwin, and my plants, but I’m seriously drawing a blank on the rest of the week.

Oh. I got an estimate on the damage to my car. $3k. Sure, officer, “not enough damage to fill out a police report.” Or, you just didn’t want to do the paperwork. SMH.

Got in two short, 2-3 mile workouts during the week.

Finished reading The Phantom Tree, Our Endless Numbered Days, 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, and a school textbook. (Here’s to being proactive.) The Phantom Tree was a very unique premise, about a time traveler who came to the present from the 1500s and wants to get back to find her son. I have no words for Our Endless Numbered Days. And 7 1/2 Deaths was…quirky yet compelling.

I meal-prepped chocolate cheesecake fat bombs for a friend who wanted to try them, and unstuffed cabbage rolls for the week.

On Sunday, we hiked 18 miles. Six weeks until the Grand Canyon!

And then I had prime rib, because I needed protein to recover. 🙂

prime rib

(This will end up being two meals.)

That’s it for me.
